The primary focus of the role of the Behaviour Mentor is to Drive the highest standards of behaviour. Working with the Year Team Leads, SLT and Pastoral team you will be able to identify patterns in behaviours across the academy and be able to put in place interventions which will reduce the number of behavioural incidents occurring. As a Behaviour Mentor your role will also include ensuring the internal exclusion room is supervised at all times making sure that students are following their timetabled lessons and providing support where necessary, liaise with parents of students who attend the internal exclusion room informing them of their child’s behaviour whilst in the exclusion room including fixed term exclusions where appropriate and to support with admin and collation of paperwork relating to behavioural incidents. The school need someone who has a level of education that enables support to be given to students aged 11-16, including those preparing for GCSE.
